Service Industry Research Systems, Inc. (SIRS); Cindy B!
REALTORS; Select Specialisties Corporation; PETSuites of
America; and Steinkamp Molding L.P. have been selected as the
2004 Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce Small Business
“SUCCESS” Award winners. The awards were presented in “Oscar”
fashion at the Chamber’s own version of the Academy Awards.
The luncheon ceremony was the culminating event for the
Chamber’s Ninth Annual Small Business celebration.
“Small
businesses are a powerful force and provide a thrust to the
economic engine of our nation,” said Gary Toebben, President
of the Chamber. “We are pleases to use the month of June and
these awards as an opportunity to acknowledge this enduring
entrepreneurial spirit in our community.”
Area
companies that are members of the Chamber and/or headquartered
in Boone, Kenton or Campbell Counties were eligible for the
“SUCCESS” Awards. The companies had to be a least three-years
old with 100 employees or less, and have $5 million or less in
Annual Sales Revenue. There were 223 nominations for the five
categories of construction trades, manufacturing/distribution,
retail & hospitality, service and professional services. A
panel of judges used a weighted system to score the applicants
based on their financial growth over a three-year period,
innovation, growth in employment or productivity, skill in
using resources, and service to the community.
